THEME OF THE DAY OF PRACTICE: The true heart’s refuge

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, this day of practice will lean into the grief we inevitably feel when we are sensitive to the pain, conflict and injustice of the world. We will explore how to wisely and lovingly respond to our own and others’ suffering, and contemplate the traditional Buddhist ’tripe gem’ of refuge as a way to steady, gladden and liberate the heart, amidst the ongoing and infinite challenges of our imperfect and unperfectable world.
