Freeness and Friction: How We Meet Ourselves and the World — Devon, UK
15. MarchMar. 2019 - 20. MarchMar. 2019 UTC
Each moment invites us to meet life freely, yet we get caught up in tension and drama, creating unhelpful and unnecessary friction. This retreat will look at how we create and can undo the friction, and will explore the inherent freeness at the heart of all experience, with a strong emphasis on integrating this exploration into the different activities and situations of everyday life.
Martin will be assisted on the retreat by Wiebke Pausch. Wiebke lives in Berlin with her daughter. She has practiced meditation for 20 years, and has been assisting Martin Aylward at retreats since 2016. She teaches Mindfulness Based Self Compassion and Compassion-Based Creative Therapy and mentors dharma students.
This retreat is open to all. It also meets the criteria of a qualifying silent retreat for those training for teaching Mindfulness (MTI, MBSR, MBCT etc).
