About the Retreat
This fully online retreat will explore in depth the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. These four ways to establish mindfulness are through cultivating attention to 1. Body experience and activity; 2. Feeling tone; 3. Mind and heart – emotions, thoughts and reactivity; 4. The nature of experience
Through lectures, guided sitting and walking meditations, discussion periods and group and individual practice, participants will develop an experiential understanding of these ancient yet timelessly liberating teachings and practices of mindfulness.
Originally taught by the Buddha, these practices are brought to life through Mark & Martin’s extensive years of meditation practice and teaching as well as their ability to bring real life examples of developing mindfulness in all situations.
We have offered 3 different prices for the retreat, inviting you to ‘pay what you can afford’ so as to make it as accessible as possible, and to invite those with greater means to support those who may currently have less ability to pay.
This course is considered a pre-qualifying retreat for mindfulness teacher training programs run by Sounds True, Mindfulness Training Institute, UCLA’s mindfulness facilitator training and others. If you wish to undertake the training in this way your attendance will be expected for all or the majority of sessions.
This retreat also serves as experienced students wishing to renew their practice and understanding of these key mindfulness teachings.
