Tools of Liberation: Wisdom, Presence and Love
19- 21 September 2025

Join dharma teacher Martin Aylward and a group of other like-minded souls for a weekend of depth and openness, silence and stillness, love and freedom.

While our outer lives depend so heavily on circumstances, our inner lives can be nourished from a different source, where wisdom, love and freeness of being become our true home. This weekend just outside London over the autumn equinox, will be a time for this nourishment, with practices and teachings to train the mind and liberate the heart.

There will be time for meditation and embodiment practices, for ‘meditation out loud’ using dialogic, relational exercises, and for being in the open space of the Kent countryside, with Earth below and Sky above. Martin will be joined by his son Narayan Aylward as assisting teacher.

Narayan grew up in a Buddhist meditation retreat center, and decided to pursue this rich path of intimacy with the world. He began sitting meditation retreats aged 19, and completed a mindfulness teacher training in 2022. He brings his meditative life to his work with various non-profit groups, including international disaster rescue, music and cultural events, driven by the wish to integrate mindfulness into everyday activities and share its benefits with different populations.

Arrive on Friday 19th from 6pm and we will finish on Sunday 21st by 4pm.

Costs:
(Includes all teachings and catering)
£320 – a dorm bed (first come, first served), tent pitch or non-residential

£460 – per person for the River hut (one double bed so for a couple)
£460 – per person for a double bed in a shared 6m bell tent (for two people or can work out a discount for a group of 3-4 friends)
£490 – per person for a twin room in The Granary (can also be made up as super kings)

Renting a bell tent: We work closely with Honeybells Tents and can offer furnished (£250 for up to two people) and unfurnished bell tents (£150), which would be an additional cost to the £320 above.
