This retreat is for experienced meditators who have already sat silent meditation retreats. We’ll go deeply into dharma teachings on the habits and nature of mind, which underpin meditative practice and experience. A week of sustained, silent meditation, both in group form and with time for individual practice, supported by Martin’s teachings and guidance. The final 2 days will also include some integrative, relational and dialogic practices.
NOTE: In previous years, this retreat has been 2 weeks in length. This year it has been intentionally shortened to combine with the following week’s retreat with Ajahn Sucitto. The retreat can be taken alone for a single week, or combined with the following week for a chance to sit with and benefit from the contact with and teachings of Venerable Ajahn Sucitto, a senior monk in the Theravada tradition and one of Martin’s teachers.
(This retreat will be held in silence. It conforms to the criteria necessary for Mindfulness Instructors in Training)
